To conclude, I want to list some things I wish the developers would've made instead of devoting resources to the prequel games. This is a subreddit completely based on the excellent Nintendo franchise Rhythm Heaven (Rhythm Tengoku in Japan, Rhythm Paradise in Europe, Rhythm World in South Korea). Do I mean Fillbots 2 from the DS, or do I mean Fillbots 2 from Megamix which is really Fillbots 1? For example, one of my favorite games is Fillbots 2. The prequel games also add unnecessary confusion when talking about some of the games. In the first act of the game, Donut Land and Songbird Land don't use prequel games, just some of the easier games from the GBA, DS, and Wii games. The prequel games aren't even a consistent part of the game. If they could do it for the new games, why couldn't they do it for the rest of the prequel games? However, the games which are brand new in Megamix (like Catchy Tune and First Contact) do have music that sounds like their sequels. The prequel games have music that sounds nothing like their future "sequels" that aren't really sequels, which really disconnects them from the original games they're based on. The sequels to normal games always have music that sounds like the original game, either the same song or a remix. Despite their intentions, I don't think it really worked to get new players into the series since Megamix sold worse than Fever, making the prequel games even more pointless.Īnother thing that really bothers me is the music to the prequel games. chrislo27 has made a new version of a free Rhythm Heaven custom remix editor, and as of now it’s quite worth looking into. But every month we have large bills and running ads is our only way to cover them. Game files extracted and decompiled using this tool can be used in conjunction with this patch. In-depth documentation for Tickflow can be found here. We dont have paywalls or sell mods - we never will. Tickompiler is a compiler/decompiler for Tickflow, a language based on the bytecode format used by the game Rhythm Heaven Megamix to describe its rhythm games. If they wanted to ease new players into the series, they should've just put more of the easier games in the first act, like Night Walk GBA, The Dazzles, or Double Date. Mods & Resources by the Rhythm Heaven Megamix (RHMM) Modding Community. Several of the games that got a prequel are easy enough in their original versions: Karate Man, The Clappy Trio, Sneaky Spirits, and Micro-Row. Megamix starts off with an easier version of the Karate Man game that introduced new players to the series back on the GBA. Now the main argument I see in support of them is that they're a way to get new players into the series. Check out the RH Modding Server as well!įor a game that does so much well, I think the prequel games, the easier versions of previous games in the series, are easily the worst part of the game.Come and join the /r/rhythmheaven Discord Server!.Please do not advertise your chat/project/whatever unless you have something to show for your work!
